An Evening In Tonto National Forest

After one month floating around Baja, we finally surfaced back to United States. Unfinished business in our home base (Nashville, Tennessee) was slowly but surely pulling us eastward. Our route took us through Tonto National Forest, where we spent an evening before continuing on to 40E. We nestled into a dispersed camping spot off of a dirt road not far from the main road right before sunset. The desert transformed into shades of pink clay and sage as the sun drew closer and closer to the horizon. It was the perfect farewell to the Wild West. For now.
